There are many slits and angles at the top of a semi-dry snorkel that direct water away from entering the tube of the snorkel.
The corrugated silicone hose allows the dry snorkel to have more of a natural curve around the face which helps make it easier to keep in your mouth. Also helps the mouthpiece to fall out of the way when the mouthpiece is not being used. Flex tubes are that they give you the freedom to adjust the positioning of the mouthpiece, which makes for a more comfortable fit.
The easy to use quick-release clip makes it very easy to connect and disconnect your mask to the snorkel. The quick-release clips also easily adjust up and down for better fitment with your snorkel mask.
